Delightful little craft cocktail bar serving inventive and complex drinks along with classics and a small but mighty food menu, plus an outdoor patio section for when the weathers nice. Bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. Plus they have Fernet! Highly recommend.

What a gem of a place—we were cozy and warm on their patio in December with all the heaters, and the food and wine was so good—I loved the roasted broccoli in a delicious spicy tomato sauce, and my seated scallops were outstanding. My husband loved his short ribs. Our starter of a cheese plate with apples, crostini and honey was also delicious. We will be back!

Baker's is one of Seattle's dining treasures. The bar and eatery prides itself on its neighborhood charm and appeal, and on entering, we immediately felt welcomed. The hum of agreeable music, the casual coversation, and the setting all make you want to settle into this wonderful space for a cosy meal and drinks. Speaking of drinks, we were served a number of amazing and flavorful drinks, including the Ultimate Ninja, the True Love, and the Mexican Firing Squad, which were charming, refreshing and well pared with our cuisine (the drink theme this month is "The Princess Bride", with other such wonders as the Dread Pirate Roberts and Unemployed in Greenland. Any or all of these drinks would be well worth a try. The menu was full of incredible delights, truly among the best plated eats in all of Seattle. We sampled the cheese plate (fantastic start), the bread plate, the Roasted roots, the Lamb Ribs, and the Clams. The roots and the ribs were to die for, my gosh. And lest I forget the unforgettable beef tartare! Wow, with pomegrante notes, this was truly a uniquely tasty gastrognomic experience. We finished up with the Nutelle Pot de creme, served with a dessert wine....what a meal. It was all complimented by an incredibly friendly and warm staff, lead by owner Brian, who was among the most personable, knowledgeable, and kind people we have met in the dining scene. Our interactions with Brian were an absolute highlight and made everything about our date night all the more memorable. We have dined at some of the area's best spots over the past 15 years, and pride ourselves on knowing both the new and must-eat places and the established places that are always worth many visits. Baker's is such a place. We plan to be back soon and often. This is a treasure of a spot, and an absolute must visit for those local to Ballard or coming from further away. It goes my absolute highest recommendation!

It seems to be a very popular place, there was a bit of a wait time to be seated. They do have outdoor seating as well. But the wait is totally worth it. The food and drinks are excellent. We ordered a lot. Started with the seared halloumi, which we HIGHLY recommend. The rosemary honey that's drizzled on it is delightful. We then had the charred broccoli, which we also HIGHLY recommend. For the entree we had the lamb meatballs, so delicious. We ended with trying both the sweets they were offering. The olive oil cake was so light and not overly sweet, which we like. Then the other sweet was the sweet buttermilk biscuit with salted butter and rhubarb jam. These too had just the right amount of sweetness. We also had the Poncho Sombrero combo cocktail along with the Painkiller. Both cocktails were excellent. Chef Cody is bringing the flavors in all the dishes he is serving up! We saw that the menu changes, so we will definitely be back! Also, the hostess Sara had excellent hospitality. Great vibes, the music was so fun, the energy of the bar/restaurant is amazing. From staff to music to even the other patrons. I highly recommend this place. We also heard the owners and chef Cody have another spot in Queen Anne called Bar Miriam. We will definitely be trying that one out soon too.

Really good food for a cocktail bar. And the cocktails were delicious! The marinated sardine was my favorite. Limited seating inside with a patio.

Best hot toddy ever. Sarah makes them perfectly. I had sardines on baguette, and a beef sandwich with a dip. Both excellent. The spot is small and cozy. It’s basically a bar with a round of seating where you can eat. Not a huge dining location. But for what it is, it’s perfect. I plan on returning.
